Non-Franchise Servicing & Manufacturers' Warranty Following changes in legislation it is now possible to have your Volvo serviced by an independent garage (such as Hutton Bros) and, provided we use Volvo parts, your manufacturers' warranty remains intact. At Hutton Bros we have the equipment and technical know-how to carry out these types of services at a substantially lower cost than a main agent (we recently quoted £107.00 for a service where a main dealer quoted £260.00 !!). Training
Hutton Bros have specialised in Volvos for decades and our experienced technicians undergo regular training in order to keep up to date with the latest technology. Due to changes in legislation our technicians are able to benefit from training at Volvo's own training centre at Daventry, Northants. in addition to training operated through Bosch and other equipment manufacturers. As specialists in Volvo motor cars we have invested in the very latest technology in order to provide accurate diagnosis where applicable. Our equipment includes Volvo's advanced V.A.D.I.S. (Volvo Automated Diagnostic Information System) which provides us with the necessary tools to test the very latest Volvos along with the Volvo Scan Tool (V.S.T.) for cars pre-1999. We also subscribe to Volvo's newest information system, VIDA which allows us to communicate directly with your Volvo and order software directly from Volvo to keep your car performing at its very best. This equipment and our experience is what sets us apart from the average garage. Not only does this save you, the customer, time, it also saves you money. An accurate diagnosis helps minimise the number of unnecessary parts/time spent solving problems. Competitive Rates Our labour rate of £40.00 plus vat per hour is less than half that of many main agents and our ability to source either genuine Volvo parts or quality alternatives at lower prices means looking after your Volvo can cost a lot less with Hutton Bros. Many garages have a lower 'headline' rate which appears to offer a better deal - the reality is that a well-trained, efficient technician will offer better value than a cheaper, poor mechanic. We recently investigated a suspicious noise coming from a customers engine and found that his new timing belt had been incorrectly fitted and was ready to snap at any time - potentially resulting in a severely damaged engine! A couple of hours rectification work saved his car and no doubt a protracted battle for compensation. Free Courtesy Cars We have a large number of courtesy cars which are available free of charge to use when your car is being serviced/repaired - please reserve in advance. Unlike many dealers who claim to offer courtesy cars we do have a very large fleet and usually just a Valet Service
Hutton Bros offer a car cleaning service to complement our other workshop activities. When booked in conjunction with a service and/or MOT we can valet your motor car from as little as £85.00 inc vat. This includes exterior hot power wash of bodywork and under wheel arches, shampoo, hand chamois, vacuum interior, clean interior vinyl, polish glass inside and out, wax polish exterior bodywork, dress bumpers and tyres. This service represents terrific value. Your motor car will not only look amazing but will be protected from the elements for many months.
